My Son

He is so curious. I know kids at that age are but I think he is EXTRA curious. He just amazes me sometimes. Its like his personality is so cute. He can be so happy and smiling but as soon as you make him mad he will flip the switch on you.

So my sister watches him during the week while I am at work and she sends me pictures of him through out the day and they are adorable! Here are some.

For some reason he loves to sit on the dogs pillow. But look at his face, the smile is one of those smiles that he knows what he is doing is not right. LOL I just love him!

Here he is watching TV with my niece, but he loves to sit on a blanket. He has my sister lay one down because he does not like to sit on the floor. ADORABLE!!!!

In this picture he is sitting at the table with my niece, but once again look at his face. He is looking like he is ready for food! LOL

This picture is my favorite. Yesterday I told my sister I was going to be getting out of work a little late, and I guess he knows when I go to pick him up because he was waiting for me. I just nearly jumped out of my chair at work when I got this picture! I could not make my baby wait one more minute!

BTW I hope that you like the new set up on my blog. I had to change it up a little.

Be Aware of how you are feeling. Are you feeling angry? Never discipline a child when angry. Take a break and calm down.
Slow down. Breathe. Discipline can wait.
Check in with yourself. Are you stressed or upset about other things already? Don’t take them out on your child.
Imagine how you would like to be treated. Put yourself in you child’s shoes.
Listen to how you sound. Is your voice loud, scary, or mean? Be firm but kind.
Visualize how you look to your child.
Be a teacher, not a punisher. Think, find a good lesson in the moment. If you hit, you lose. Learn together.
Hug don’t hit. When you feel like hitting, hug your child instead and tell him you love him.
No one can love your child as much as you.

I have another niece that is have a fifteen this year. I was at my sister's house on Saturday doing my nieces makeup for her pictures and she looked absolutely beautiful! And even though it was burning hot outside, she did not complain about the heat. I DID!! I can't believe she wasn't hot in that dress or at least she didn't show it. So we ended up going to take her pictures at DBU which is such a beautiful campus. I always drove by and never noticed how pretty it was! Well here are some pics that I took of her right after I did her make up. BTW my mom made this dress as well! She is super talented (too bad I didn't get that gene!).

My bestest friend in the whole world had a birthday this month of the 12th. I was very excited when she invited me to go and join her and her family for a family birthday thing that they do every year. Now I have known my best friend since I was 12 and I have never been invited so that is why I was excited. I really enjoyed spending time with her and her family. She is truly very special to me. I love ya BENA! Happy Birthday!!!

Really really sorry...

I have been really busy. I just got back from a week of vacation...or I should say staycation. We didn't go anywhere for vacation this year. We had originally planned to go to Florida but cancelled when the oil spilled happened. Then we planned to go to South Padre, but the tropical storm hit there the week before. So we just took it as a sign to stay home. SO we did!
We did some updating around the house. We painted out sun room and I finally got a new refrigerator. We went to the lake and went swimming to my mother in laws house. All in all it was a good, relaxing vacation.
The week before my vacation I went on a business trip to Chicago. The weather up there is so wonderful! The sun is out but it is not hot at all. The Taste of Chicago was going on while I was there so I decided to go but unfortunately I got sick. My co-workers were telling me I was just home sick (and maybe they are right). I was missing my son! I took one of his blankets with me so that I could sleep with it. It didn't help much cause I still missed him a lot!
So back to June. My sons birthday party was fun. It was hot that day but the wind kept us a little cool. He received lots of presents from our family and friends ( I have the best family and friends!). Its funny because right after the party was done, I started thinking of what I was going to do next year. I get so super excited planning these events for him because I want him to enjoy them.
Well I try to post on my blog more often.
BTW how do you like my new design? I like it. I think it needed a little change!
