I wanna be like Daddy

You know its so amazing how our children are so much like us! I look at my son and I see a lot of me and my husband in him, sometimes more my husband than me! But it is just so great to see his little personality, how he is and how he reacts to things. I think one thing some people may not realize is that we truly mold our children into the people that they turn out to be. The way that we react toward him and toward each other will affect our children when they are older. And that is really scary! I try to be the best person around my son because I want him to be the best person, sometimes I am not and as a human I think we all make our mistakes. I just am so fascinated by my son everyday by how much he will mimic my husband and I. Its comical and flattering all at once! I love my son and I love the relationship that I have with him and I hope that with age our relationship will grow into a great one.
Here is a little video of my son trying to be like my husband. Its super cute how he keeps looking to see exactly how my husband is even kneeling. Hope you enjoy this video as much as I do!

Sorry its sideways I don't know how to flip it :P

I'm Back!

I have so much to say and I just had to come back! My son is 20 months and he is so active and starting to talk. I love it! I can't wait until he starts to have conversations (right now they are only one sided lol). He is just running around everywhere. I tell you that boy is the king of the house, what he says goes, and there is no if, ands, or buts about it! I am of course already planning his second birthday, and since it is in the middle of summer I am going to have it outside but at a pool this time. Last year it was way too hot just to have it outside without any water!
So I have an extra bedroom in my house and my husband has decided to give me a crafts room. I am really happy and excited! I have a sewing machine that I have never been able to use because I don't have any space in the house to use it at. But now I will! YAY! I will also use that room as my makeup room. Which will free up my bathroom space, I am using up a lot of the counter space in the bathroom, that might be why my husband decided to do this room for me. But either way I am super excited about it! I have chosen the colors for the walls and we are hopefully going to go to IKEA this weekend to get my table that I want. I will def post pics of the before and after.
Well I guess that is all for now but I will def try to post at least once a week.

Last Post

So I don't know why but I have not had a chance to do any posts lately. I went back to school, I'm only taking one class. But that may be why I just don't have any time to blog anymore. I have really enjoyed blogging though. I might start to do make up videos for sure! Hope that whoever is reading this blog will either become friends with me on Facebook or find me on Youtube.

Well I guess this is farewell.

Denika

This month is my sister in laws birthday so her boyfriend came to me and Lizy (my husbands cousin) and asked us to help him throw a surprise party for her. So we decided to have an 80's theme since she was born in the 80's. It was so hard for me not to tell her because she kept telling me what she wanted to do for her birthday. I think it was so much fun to see everyone dressed up 80's. The 80's were so colorful and fun!
So for my outfit I had to go to my little sister, who's style is based on the 80's. She let me borrow some leopard tights and the rest was up to me. I found a shirt at Ross that you would not believe I just bought! It had rhinestones on the shoulders! It was awesome!
Here are the pics. I know I am posting them so late but I misplaced my camera and just found it last night.

SURPRISE!!!! (Look at my husbands face in the background LOL)

All 80's!

Very nice!

Aw LOVE is in the air!!

Uh-ho I don't think she liked it (once again look at my husband in the back) Jose looks like a pro!

Lets try again.....

Second time is a charm!

My hubby and I
It took me two hours to crimp my hair!

The birthday girl! (man I need some shoulder pads and that would have made the outfit!!)

My Son

He is so curious. I know kids at that age are but I think he is EXTRA curious. He just amazes me sometimes. Its like his personality is so cute. He can be so happy and smiling but as soon as you make him mad he will flip the switch on you.
So my sister watches him during the week while I am at work and she sends me pictures of him through out the day and they are adorable! Here are some.

For some reason he loves to sit on the dogs pillow. But look at his face, the smile is one of those smiles that he knows what he is doing is not right. LOL I just love him!

Here he is watching TV with my niece, but he loves to sit on a blanket. He has my sister lay one down because he does not like to sit on the floor. ADORABLE!!!!
In this picture he is sitting at the table with my niece, but once again look at his face. He is looking like he is ready for food! LOL

This picture is my favorite. Yesterday I told my sister I was going to be getting out of work a little late, and I guess he knows when I go to pick him up because he was waiting for me. I just nearly jumped out of my chair at work when I got this picture! I could not make my baby wait one more minute!
BTW I hope that you like the new set up on my blog. I had to change it up a little.

Good Lesson

So I just read this and thought this was something very important to share.

Teach love, not fear. End child abuse:
Emergency Parenting Tips:
Be Aware of how you are feeling. Are you feeling angry? Never discipline a child when angry. Take a break and calm down.
Slow down. Breathe. Discipline can wait.
Check in with yourself. Are you stressed or upset about other things already? Don’t take them out on your child.
Imagine how you would like to be treated. Put yourself in you child’s shoes.
Listen to how you sound. Is your voice loud, scary, or mean? Be firm but kind.
Visualize how you look to your child.
Be a teacher, not a punisher. Think, find a good lesson in the moment. If you hit, you lose. Learn together.
Hug don’t hit. When you feel like hitting, hug your child instead and tell him you love him.
No one can love your child as much as you.

Karina

I have another niece that is have a fifteen this year. I was at my sister's house on Saturday doing my nieces makeup for her pictures and she looked absolutely beautiful! And even though it was burning hot outside, she did not complain about the heat. I DID!! I can't believe she wasn't hot in that dress or at least she didn't show it. So we ended up going to take her pictures at DBU which is such a beautiful campus. I always drove by and never noticed how pretty it was! Well here are some pics that I took of her right after I did her make up. BTW my mom made this dress as well! She is super talented (too bad I didn't get that gene!).
